Anyone here had any luck tinting or staining a clear SLA print? Just putting out it out there, looking for advice on tinting a clear resin print dark grey or black while maintaining most of the clarity. The effect I'm after is that of a lens out of a pair of sunglasses.
Is anyone printing on Stratasys machine using a Clear or Translucent ABS/ASA. We have a Fortus 380mc (one of the big ones) and can print in lots of colors, but would like to hear from others on how clear the end product is
Hi there, I am looking to have a prototype drinking glass printed (10cmx8cmx8cm). The finished product will be made of crystal, so I was hoping to have something printed to replicate the product. I would require the print to be transparent, but I can't afford the £500+ of fully transparent resin.
I realize this may be a long shot, but are there any transparent materials suitable for outdoor use? 3D Hubs seems to think all of them will have problems when subjected to UV light. Looking to make some lenses with built-in "corner cube" retroreflectors. Something like this: Any materials out there that will do the trick? Test STL on Thingiverse:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1752005/
I would like to print highly transparent parts using Kudo3D Titian2 HR using its highest resolution setting (XY resolution 23um, layer height 5 um). But the recommended clear resin on Kudo3D official website is the Autodesk Clear, which is compatible with only 100um XY resolution. Could anyone recommend some transparent resin which is compatible with high resolution settings of XY 23 um? Thanks!
