Can anyone recommend anywhere to go? I’m having castable wax and castable resin models made from my CAD drawings and I’ve spoken to so many different companies about getting a master Made from the models in to wax for me to polish up and then get placed in to a vulcanised mould that my head is foggy!

thank you!!

There is a mold filament that behaves like wax. It is especially formulated to allow for normal lost wax casting.

After you print the shape and have perfected it, you can cast it in plaster, then cook out the wax. It needs to go up to 270C I think.

I ordered a sample of the filament the other day as I cast a lot of stuff in Alu and wanted to try it out. Have not received it yet.

Hi Nicola,

we use ASIGA “Supercast”, an acryllic polymer which really burns out clean and is very useful for very fine jewelry and dental purposes.

Another ASIGA castable resin is ASIGA SuperWAX, which is really a wax, which is superfine and liquefies already at 50°C.

Best, Gunther
