Greetings.

I am thinking about purchasing one of the Qidi Technology 3D printers, specifically, the X-Smart Intelligent model. I read, however, that the spool holder can only handle 64 millimeter wide filament. As I am new to the 3D printing world, I wanted to ask, is 64 millimeters wide the standard size of most filament spools? I have used Hatchbox filament in the past but I am not sure what the dimensions of the spools are. Hatchbox seemed to be pretty good quality. Is there a different brand of filament that you’d recommend over Hatchbox or one that you know would fit/work with the Qidi 3D printer? Is there a handy online guide that talks about this?

Many thanks!!!

Most brands should work fine. If you find one that doesn’t there are plenty of alternative spool holders you can make.

Hatchbox and eSun are good.

Go look for our QIDI 3D facebook group, lots of help there!
