Just thought I’d post this to see if anyone else has thoughts on how this will affect the 3D printing marketplace.

Best of luck to them enforcing something that people have been doing for a long time before they came up with the idea.

After reading the patent, I’m surprised that they were even able to get it issued. It appears to be an order taking, production and Delivery process that they patented. It appears to be set up in modules for each part of the process and is very generalized.

I think that this is actually a joke.

There is no innovation and this is already existing and working since many years from others like stratasys or thingiverse via the 3DHubs print applet.

Yeah I was thinking the same. Who the hell approved that requested patent? There is no innovation at all and as already mentioned this service already exists on other plattforms.
