I’m strongly considering the raise3d n2 plus and Ultimaker 3.

Can you please tell me what you like and dislike about the machine?

I will be primarily printing nylon, ABS, and rubber like materials which the UM3 can’t do but the UM2+ can

I too would like to know. I keep coming back to the Raise3d N2/N2 plus because of the build volume, but my friend keeps saying Ultimaker 3. The Ultimaker 3 would be more on top of my list if the x and y were larger and I feel that the Ultimaker price shouldn’t be as high as it is.

Andrew we are in the exact same boat

I have the raise n2 plus. I really like it overall. I have not ever used the 2’ print volume but it is nice that it is there. I have gotten nylon to work. With a volume this size it means I can have a 2 day print easily. I have found on 2 day prints I need to use the raise filament which takes awhile to get in. The review in Make magazine is spot on. The one dual print that I saw from the Raise was good but could be crisper.

Hi there

Strongly recommend the N-series, we have owned literally countless other 3d printers from UP 3d Printers, Ultimakers, Makerbots and none of them can match the N-Series capabilities, we are a serious manufacturing business who rely heavily on our machinery 24/7, the N-series are work horses for serious makers and manufacturers. Thats my 2 cents, hope it helps

Also, the Raise3d n2/n2+ has an enclosure for ABS printing. Ultimaker says an enclosure is important, but won’t supply one for the UM3.

Hey, what did you end up going for in the end? I currently have the UM3 and will be picking up the N2+ in a few days, so will give my low down then!

Thanks

Callum

I went with the n2 plus and I love it I have a large variety of materials, just build size, I can change the nozzles from .4 to .8, and good quality The only downside is the leveling which I’ve only did twice in several months

Update: Ultimaker has added an official door for the UM3. Too late for my purchase decision.
