I’ve recently switched over to PLA from ABS as I noticed my heated bed has some burnt wires. I love the print quality I were getting without having to use a print bed so I decided to buy a white PLA to be able to paint.

I started off using the cheap black PLA that came with the printer, and it seems that at any settings, the quality was always good, prints were strong, even large 10+ hour prints were good.

A few days ago I decided to try the Flashforge white PLA and the result is here:

I thought this was perhaps bad filament (I did try other temps but with same results).

So yesterday I bought some SUNLU colour PLA+ filaments. Again I noticed poor print quality at 220c so I printed at 190, 210 and 230 and the results are here:

When it prints, the walls seem to be slightly elastic, and come up slightly, the printer head presses it back down as it runs over it. The black PLA seems to harden instantly, but colour PLA or PLA+ seems to stay soft for longer and distorts.

Any suggestions?
