Hello everyone,

I’ve been trying to print some Hatchbox 3D PLA Wood Filament. I’m getting some massive stringing. I attempted to change the extruder temperature from 210 down to 200, using the included software. However, the printer refuses to change temperature. If I change the profile to ABS, and change the temperature, it always defaults to 240. Has anyone been able to get past this limitation?

If you set the printer to 200 in the expert settings it will print at 200. If you save the settings in a .ssf file it should remember them and reload them the next time you open Cubicreator.

Should be able to change temp with no issue. What happens when you type in temp? Also I would not print any abrasive type of filaments with Cubicon…it not made for it.

Just giving everyone an update. Apparently I’m an idiot. Because I can’t type, as a result of a disability, I use a program called Dragon NaturallySpeaking. Normally, I simply dictate the values into the advanced settings without an issue. However, the temperature fields seem to work differently. They did not take to the dictatevalues, even though they show they were changed on the screen. I used a virtual keyboard instead, and now the temperature changes. I appreciate everyone’s replies though.

One last thing, does anyone have advice on reducing stringing besides adjusting temperature? The retraction settings seem a little bit different then other programs. Thanks!
