I’m experiencing an issue when when doing the self test the Y axis will move up a little them beep, if I go into the software I can move the Y axis up without issue but it wont move down.

If I plug the controller chip into the test board and try it moves up and down without any issue, Also if I swap the driver cables with any of the other axis’s they all have a similar issue in the Y axis socket.

It actually would ok for about a week after putting it all together then suddenly developed this issue, I’ve spoken to James in support and he’s said its a firmware issue and I have to wait until there is a new release but he doesnt know when that will be.

Anyone else experienced this problem/issue?

Hi

Have you carried out the firmware upgrade as it advises in issue 76? If you have the best fix is a new motherboard.

If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask

HI Chris, thanks for the reply, yeah I upgraded the firmware and it worked for a few days before developing this fault. Eaglemoss keep telling my it’s a firmware issue not hardware.

Hi

My e-mail is chrisholland1967@gmail.com

message me your details and I will do my best to get you another motherboard.

Hi

This sounds to me that the issue is with the motherboard not the firmware. Have you been given the option for a replacement board?

Hi Chris,

I had a few emails (from your gmail account) from you on the 12th last month regarding this where you were arranging for a new motherboard to be sent out, I’ve not received anything yet.

Regards

Andrew

What a total waste of time and money this printer is, still no working printer since 1st contacting support back in October who claimed it was a firmware issue then deciding in March it was a faulty driver board and I’d have a replacement in 3 weeks, 2 months late it arrives after I took legal adivce and guess what, it still doesnt work.
What a shower of shit eaglemoss are!!!
