Does anyone have a need for spools? I have a number of empty spools in various sizes. I think these would be perfect if you create your own filament.

They include matterhackers, Flashforge Dreamer, and Hatchbox. See picture for an example of some.

I posted something very similar a few months ago and unfortunately got nothing but crickets and tumble weeds. Would be great if we could find a useful purpose for these things. I have a nice collection as well and I’m sure we’re not alone.

Yeah I would hate to toss them. I know I’ve seen the machine that can recycle old used filament but it costs $2k and I’m not sure if I actually *need* it at that cost. But someone out there must have one.

I wonder if the companies would buy them back - even if we sold them back at $1 it would have to be cheaper than order a brand new spindle.

Yes, it kills me, but I just put them in the recycle bin.

If there was something we could make with them, I would give them away.

Use them to wrap your xmas lights around for the xmas tree , or maybe loose rope . Wool , and so on or maybe put a pvc pipe down the centre of the holes and make legs out of them for a table ? Use your imagination  maybe donate them to a kindy or day care centre ( not sure what its called in the states )

drill some holes on the side of the disk at various sizes and use it as a pen holder , and the centre hole can be for pins or paper clips

I use them to wrap Christmas lights around for storage!!! Just an idea!

Hi There,

i just swapped over to a Flashforge Dreamer and need to transfer my filaments from the usual 1Kg spools to the Flashforge properietary ones that fit inside the machine. If you still have some going I’d take a few off your hands.

All the best,

Jerry

I would like to get some empty spools for a Flashforge Dreamer.

Do they have to fit the holder for the back of a Flashforge Creator Pro? I have spools in all different sizes. Shoot me an email at nathan@allostech.com
