Something seems off. I’m getting very noticeable filament lines in my prints. Some parts of this model look a lot better than others as you can see. I have tried adjusting my temperature (195 Extruder, 60 Bed), speed, height (0.1), the works. I’m stumped. Has anyone had this issue before? I’m using a Monoprice select mini printer and Hatchbox PLA 1.75 filament. Please help me if you can. I would really appreciate it.

That is weird. My first recommendation would be to experiment with your flow rate (I would try increasing it). Increasing the temperature slightly as well (try 210C) might coax the layers to bond better. Also, check that your perimeters are set correctly (2x your nozzle diameter so .8mm in your case) and make sure the infill percentage isn’t too high (try 15% or 20%). Hope that helps!

I don’t use that printer but a couple general things would be to go with a .2 layer to get things dialed in and also slow down to 40mm/s.

Hatchbox is pretty good at 195-205 and your bed temp is reasonable. Do you have a parts cooling fan? If so it needs to be on.

I might actually try reducing the flow a bit, I think it might be over extruding a bit… That is a small model and it doesn’t look too bad.

Measure the diameter of the filament in several places over a length and enter the average into the slicer.

On top of his nose all the layers look concentric, try a different filament, a good/pricey one

I’m with shahramrobotics, the first thing I would do is put another spool of filament on there and print the same gCode. It could just be an issue with sizing or inconsistency. Doesn’t necessarily have to be pricey :P, I’ve had a lot of good luck with Sunlu filament on amazon lately.

Switching the filaments is always a good test. Did you try measuring the filament with a pair of calipers? if not try measuring in a few places and using the average.

Thanks for all the help guys. I printed a few of this mini with the settings you guys have suggested but had more or less this result the whole time. I did see a difference at the 0.2 layer hight setting however. I also have not changed filaments, that’s for tomorrow night. Here is one of the tests from tonight. Anything jump out to anybody? Sorry for the late response. Also i don’t know why my pictures keep ending up sideways.
