This is really big news! You’ve been asking for this for a while now and it is finally happening!

3D Hubs Teleport.gif

Today we announce our public API, named Teleport - It enables creators of 3D content to integrate a 3D print button for their models, connecting their users to the 3D Hubs network of over 16,000 3D printers.

What does this mean to the Hubs?

  • Just like Autodesk, Thingiverse, Sketchfab and Instructables anyone of you can now add the same “Print this” button to your website !
  • The chances of getting orders are increasing everyday and our public API will allow more work to come your way much easier
  • The downloading and uploading files is no longer necessary- You can connect a customer from your website directly to your Hub without the extra steps and having to explain the process

We’re also trying to be on top of Product Hunt today so, if you like it, you know what to do : 3D Hubs - Product Information, Latest Updates, and Reviews 2023 | Product Hunt

This is a true game-changer! Let us know how are you going to use the public API?

Exciting!

Has anyone created a tutorial of it?

@xenia do we have anything of sorts? thanks

Hi @,

Would be happy to help you. We already started a conversation through email and let’s continue it there.

Hello! Just curious, with API how does the printer or Teleport know which material to use? Would ‘ABS’ be embedded in the STL??

Thanks!

@gavbrum Hey there, so I think there’s a slight missunderstanding here  Our API would only send you to the first stage of the order (meaning that you will still be able to decide which material , color and technology you want it to be printed with.

Hope that helped!
