I’ve just started 3D printing with a Quidi dual head clone printer - so far I’ve only done PLA but I think my settings are pretty good because I printed the hollow 20 mm Cube and it came out perfectly. I designed a case for a small PCB and Makerware seems to have added some supports but has completely missed them in places that seem obvious;
Above is the overview and below are 2 sequential layer pictures. When you look at the first picture below, you can see that it strings a line across an almost 80 mm span with no supports but the shorter end spans have full supports like I would expect. Am I missing a setting in Makerware or is it just not very good at adding supports?
I realize that I should maybe print it the other way up but I was concerned that the surface finish would be marked by the supports and raft.

You can play with supports and bridging settings as well in the custom settings. See if any help you!
