Can someone recommend a 3D print material that might be suitable for making replacement deck furniture glides. The furniture frames are extruded aluminum and the glides are a press fit into the frames. UV and impact resistance are important as well as a certain, albeit small, amount of compressability for the fit.

I would recommend nylon for this use case.

Formlabs tough resin would work. I made some ski boot heels for someone from it. It is tough as the name says and can be filed if needed to fit. Another option would be formlabs Flexible resin. It produced a solid part that is like hard rubber. You could design it to be tapered for a friction fit or design it like the original inserts so it has a solid base and is hollow where the walls are, 3-4 mm walls should work.

Nylon is a decent choice as others have mentioned, if you wanted to take it to the next level I’d recommend exploring options such as PC-ABS, Ultem 9085/1010 or PEEK.

I agree with @bhudson, Nylon would be great here.

I can’t recommend any resins due to the fact that they’re inherently UV-sensitive.

I did something similar recently with a ColorFabb nylon filament and I am pretty happy with my results. You can contact me and ask me if you have difficulties doing it.

I am in need of guidance. I am interested in a soft, flexible and memory foam property material that would also provide for a very detail product result. I am familiar with the Lay Fomm products (40 and 60) however, any other product/filament ideas would be greatly appreciated. Cost is important, but I am willing to eat cost if the ideal product is available.
