Dear mayors,

In Den Bosch we will organize a new event on 24th of june (Netherlands).

A lot of hub’s want to get more 3D orders and there is still a new market to be born. To help get more orders we are making the people (citizens) of Den Bosch familiar with 3D Printing. We do this by trying out something new: 3D Printer Pop-Up Museum. All hubs (mostly) are setting up their printer for 2 hours in Spark Campus. Everyone can come and visit this place for free and get to know more about 3D printing.

At least we reveil a PLA printer, ABS printer, Resin printer and Clay printer.

If you’re around or know people who want to join? Please point them to https://www.3dhubs.com/den-bosch/events/3d-hubs-printer-pop-up-museum

Please let us know if you have any thoughts on this format, tips & tricks or questions…!

Greetings,

Manon

Mayor Den Bosch ('s Hertogenbosch)

Nice initiative! What are you guys going to print. There are so many possibilities , but I wonder what can catch the most attention?

Nice! Looking forward to meet you guys again!

Good question. I haven’t decided what my printers will print that evening. Maybe an tablet for the innovation wall we are designing with the community. We asked the hubs to bring designs and prints (maybe they can print some of them live) that are remarkeble, crazy, cool or what so ever

But I am open for print suggestions!

@Eric_12 Next to these nice designs , there could also be small things, that they could carry around with them (Like keychains or something to put in the wallet.

The lesson we have learned from Marvin key chain is that people are just so excited to have a 3D printed thing to show off. That could really help you guys to remind about yourselves and about 3D printing

It’s nice to print give-aways. We can combine them with stickers from 3DHubs. It should really be something that gets the attention on 3D printing and willing to design and print your own stuff. Maybe some nice possibilities for 3D printing of elements that broke (repairstuff)? Or customized elements as cases for phones etc. Maybe diversity in the prints is key here…?

Yip! @subohm you up for it?

True. The ‘3D print anything anywhere’ type of thing is what should be really attracactive for the customers. I’d say showing off websites like thingiverse and tinkercad , next to the printers could be the most effective (for the diversity) and the give aways for the marketing.

Cool concept, I look forward to see how it turns out

Love this concept Manon! I’m sure will be copied soon by other communities  Let us know the result of it

Cheers
