Hello I am curious if anyone knows of any place that I can get a version of Autodesk inventor 2016 or solidworks 2016 for a good price. I have searched online and the closest price I have found is only for the most recent edition and it’s about $5000 - $7000.
I do not know about the 2016 version, but there is a free version of inventor that you can get, as well as a free version of solidworks you can get. I believe that they offer older versions of the program, but I am not certain. They are legit, and they are basically student versions of the program, you have all the features, but the program has either “education” or “student version” in the name. One of the annoying things about doing it this way is that usually the student license expire after one year, so you will have to constantly re-download the program every year. But I mean, hey, you are getting it for free.

P.S. If the code for solidworks does not work for whatever reason, try going on youtube and looking up something along the lines of “solidworks education 2018” (or whatever year you need).
Update: I just checked the websites and Inventor does offer a 2016 version, and Solidworks has a 2016-2017 version. I hope this helps!

If I may ask, why do you need such an old version of the software?
Because I just like designing things to print for fun and I dont want to spend $5000 on the most recent version, especially considering I was taught to use the 2016 version in my college courses (I recently just graduated so I cant access them through my school anymore)
