I was doing some initial testing to determine if it was possible to use the carbon fiber layers as a basic circuit. As you can see in the photo it works. Now If I can just upload gerber files into Eiger for specific layers maybe I can actually print imbedded circuits into my parts. I have requested the capability and Markforged software guys are looking into. Please let me know your thoughts on this.

I don’t have a MarkForged but this looks really cool! To be honest it makes perfect sense to think about circuitry and the guys of MarkForged are potentially sitting on a goldmine and all they need to do is make a change in the software and maybe release a higher conductivity carbon fibre or similar. As is, to understand the potential, you would need to measure the resistance per unit length of a single strand. You have all my support, but I’m sorry I can’t help further

I think resistivity is too high for certain projects.

What about the dragonfly?

Oh wow…way cool! Now I need to play and add this to the mix of work I do! Thanks a ton for reminding me this is capable!
