Which version of arduino should I use with a Rigidbot RB1 and Windows 8.1?

The most recent version of the arduino software should work fine. You just need to make sure you have the drivers installed.

Thanks Daniel. That seems to have got over the connection problem as it says “printing” but now it looks like I have no power to the board. I’ll check out the power supply and see if that’s the problem

What board are you using? the stock one or an aftermarket? If it is the stock one and it is broken, I would recommend an aftermarket one like the MKS Gen 1.4 (cheap and reliable on amazon). Also if you are running the stock power supply and connection to the heated bed, get rid of them they are fire hazards! A lot of backers noticed the power supply’s fan didn’t work and all backers heated bed connection eventually melted! Replace the motherboard, PS, heated bed connector, and you got yourself an amazing printer.

The board and PS are stock. The PS is definitely broken; I’m not sure about the board. The light used to come on before but with no PS I can’t be sure if the board is good or not. I was going to try Jaycar for the PS but I haven’t got there yet. The plug on the PS seems to be a special so it might be non standard.

The stock board isn’t bad but has known issues. One major issue was they screwed up the wiring at the factory and positive and negatives got switched.
