Hi, Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for resins or glues that can be applied to Projet plaster prints to strengthen them more than the cyanoacrylate Colorbond does? I’ve tried a few different products but so far nothing really works well for this.

I have heard about XLAForm for this purpose, and have tried contacting them several times over the past 4 years but they will never give me any information on how or where to buy their products… Are they worth pursuing?

Thanks

Have you tried epoxy? Strengthening 3-D Printed Parts With BJB TC-1614 - YouTube

Surebond has a resin and system that seemed very good

Hi , 3DS has it’s own xtra-strength epoxy resin.

Or you can try with any epoxy resin, either two components resin or sin cure resin.

Thanks everyone. I have a sample of a part cured using the 3D Systems epoxy, but didn’t find it that strong. I’ll try to test some of the other epoxy products mentioned here. The parts we print are generally very large full print-bed size so I’m not sure epoxy is a good long term solution for these parts?

Noble 3D sells a two part clear resin called “Diamond”. Never heard of XLAForm.
