Hi all,

So I see that as of today there’s now a dedicated 3dhubs app in thingiverse that lets people get a 3dhubs print ordered directly from the app.

I had a little play and I’m a bit confused about who’s actually doing the printing. If I select one of my own designs and input my own address I get a price which doesn’t reflect my hubs and includes shipping, which I wouldn’t want. There’s no mention of who the hub is and payment is made directly in the app. Now since I’m the only hub within 500km of my home in the normal 3d hubs process I’d be on top of the listings, but here the choice of hub seems to have been taken away from the customer.

Apologies if this has been discussed but could 3dhubs comment on how this works?

Thanks,

Rob.

Hey Rob,

We’ve discussed it here: Talk Manufacturing | Hubs

For this project we’re starting with a couple of Hubs to have a more standardised process. As the demand increases we’ll include more Hubs.

Cool, thanks for that.

Rob.
