Hi,

I have a Tevo Tornado and (expect) to be moving into a dorm in the coming months. I have been on a crusade to get it to be as unobtrusive as possible (smell, noise, heat, etc). I have already built a full MDF enclosure for it which definitely helps with all those, but the sound is still quite loud even through the MDF. I intended on replacing the X and Y stepper drivers to Trinamic Silent Step Sticks, but was stumped when I realized that the drivers are integrated into the board, with no apparent step/dir/enable pins broken out. My two options that I know of now are either to figure out how to isolate the step/dir/enable pins from the board that is already there, or to completely replace the board with one that has slots for replaceable drivers (MKS Gen 1.4/5). I don’t completely know how to do either of those, as no one, to my knowledge, has posted a tutorial of how to do it. I know the Tornado uses an AC mains heatbed, and am not sure if that will cause issues while hooking up to a different board. Opinions are welcome, thanks.
