Hi all, So I ordered a Tronxy X5S from Gearbest after seeing good reviews on YouTube. I have also created some large projects in Blender for the future. Now, I set it up which took ages. I replaced the nozzle with a stainless steel one of the same diameter (0.4) and leveled the bed. I also replaced the perspex sheet on the bed with a glass one My dog passed away last week and I designed a really cool urn for him. I have his ashes but I am really having trouble printing his urn in black PLA. I exported the individual parts as .stl files and imported them into makeprintable.com. I saved them as .stls and then imported them into craftware. I turned the heated bed down to 50c as it could barely reach 55c let alone 60c. Other than that I only added skirts. After a lot of time, I managed a successful print with frogtape on the bed (painters tape). It wasn’t bad at all and just requires a tiny bit of sanding. After that, I haven’t been able to print another part. I have the following issues: Its really hard to actually know if the beds level. I did the paper test, but when the printer auto homes, it can sometimes press the bed at the corner after its been adjusted on the fly, despite it not touching the bed during the print attempt. When the extruder extrudes, it seems like it immediately lifts and then gets dragged around. Adjusting the level while it prints doesn’t seem to help as it just gets too close to the surface and marks it. I realised that the sheet that came with the printer was one of those sticky sheets. I fitted that to the glass bed and although I still get the same lifting result, it does stick after cooling down a bit. One the first print, the lowest I could go without issues was 215c nozzle temp. So I have tried with the heated bed and without, but with the same result. I’ll post my gcode settings from craftware when I get home from my night shift. I really hope you guys can help as I’m pulling what ever hair I have left out!
