Hey guys,

Having some trouble with my x and y axis. While printing the calibration went off (somehow) and the layers started to jump /shift.

I tried recalibrating which made it worse.

The X side locked and won move anymore after I removed the belts…

It should slide up and down the rods freely as theyre not connected anymore…

This seems like a serious problem… has anyone encountered it before or know how to help?

Thanks PJ

How high is the motor voltage on your board?

I had a similar issue. It was the belt gears that weren’t tightened enough…

If calibration was lost it seems like something became loose. I assume you checked all M5 bolts holding the X/Y-rods?

This is a common problem with the Vertex. When placing the black blocks (who keep the igus bearings) on the rods, the manual states a wrong distance between them. When the axis are assembled without belts, they would have to fall down when you tilt the printer. If this isn’t the case you need to give a little tap on the black blocks with a rubber hamer. When the distance between them isn’t right, they will span on the rods making them not move.

Hope this helps! Had allot of problems with this to…

Greetz,

Andreas
