Hello I am new to the 3d printing world , I have wanted to get one for a while now , but I keep getting conflicted on which one to buy I wanted to get the small home ones that are around 600-500 dollars since I enjoy making cosplay and just little toys and figures in general but I dont know what 3d printer would be good , I looked into different ones such as the new matter and up mini , but I’m not sure if these ones would even work out so I would like to know what printer would be the best to get for a new comer or if I should just commission someone to make the items for me if that would be cheaper in the end .

I have been very happy with my Wanhao Duplicator i3 v2.1 which is in your price range. So happy that my second one arrives this week.

Hi there, On a similar vain to below I would recommend the CTC printers. They’re copies of an essentially more expensive printer but they are not only much more reasonably priced but pretty good starter printers too. We have one ourselves and it’s pretty much our go to workhorse for rapid prototyping. I hope this helps, if you have any more questions please feel free to ask. Best Alexi

Monoprice also sales a couple of nice in expansive already assembled printers for 199 - 500 dollars. And now Mattel introduced a printer called the the Thing Maker for 350 dollars.
