Hey all. so im fairly new to 3d printing, and i’d love if anyone can shead some light on this.

I’m attempting to print a file for my girlfriend, but whenever i place it into xyzware an slice, it just messes completely up. I originally spent about 5/6 hours trying to hollow out the model an clean it up as best as i possible can, but its still just messing up. Im going to add a few pictures to show what its doing as best i can an the file, if anyone could look at it and possibly tell me the likely cause / fix, or if anyone can fix it (if its a simple fix) i’ll love you forever, im seriously loosing my rag with it.

Did you run it through netfabb? It looks like your model is not a solid object.

As i said, im pretty new to 3d printing! Had never heard of netfabb before, but thank you sir i seem to of fixed my issue with it

Good to hear. It’s been about 80% successful for me. If you have the original model or know who made you may want to repair the base model or inform the author.

Its a model my girlfriend built herself for her uni work. As i said i took it an hollowed it all out an cleaned it up, an repaired that version. About to try printing now if i can ever get this bed calibrated! wish me luck haha.

As long as it isn’t a Delta, good luck. If it is find the trash
