Hi people, Recently i have the problem of z-ultrat raft being accidentally pulled of the print bed. Not enough goo  but… After trying to cancel/pause the print (press and hold menu button for 10 seconds) NOTHING happens so i have to turn the printer off… Not ideal. Has anybody had this happen? Is it anything to do with the latest hardware update?.. Answers on a postcard  thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,

Pausing during a raft printing has been turned off, you have to wait until first layer being printed.

I found that during printing raft pause don’t working. Which is not so comfortable, cause if something going wrong I need to switch it off, turn on, move platform down…

Is this not the most likely stage of the build where things can go wrong?

If your raft is being warped off of the bed, unscrew the top of your bed and remove the residue as a buildup of this can cause bad heat distribution. Another possibility is that the bed is uneven and that the nozzle is actually hitting the raft and taking it off, in which case recalibrate the bed.

Hi,

I’ve experienced the same issue with the printer not being able to pause / stop when holding the menu button. This was due to the fact that i’ve removed the firmware file from the SD card and I can only assume it was using the old firmware version. My expectation was also that after a firmware update, you can indeed get rid of the file you used to update with but appears that wasn’t the case. I advise you to do a test run after adding the latest firmware file back to your SD (in case you removed it).

Hope that solves the issue.

I keep only the latest firmware update on the machine. I fixed the problem of the Z-Ultrat coming away using abs glue. The issue is soley with the disabled pause on raft building. In my opinion the beggining is probably the important part of the process.

Hi there!

Yes, I have had the same issue to cancel the print. In my experience, after push the button several times or hold, the print last about 40 seconds or sometimes more (really I do not remember well) to show you the menu with the Pause and cancel option.

I hope this info could be useful.

Greetings!
