Clear resin print & post-process tinting

Anyone here had any luck tinting or staining a clear SLA print?

Just putting out it out there, looking for advice on tinting a clear resin print dark grey or black while maintaining most of the clarity.

The effect I'm after is that of a lens out of a pair of sunglasses.

There doesn't seem to be any services here providing print styles like this. I see transparent blue, green etc, but no black, so now looking at post-processing options.

Thanks a million!

You could try a dye and put it into the resin prior to printing with it. In a post-process you would have to cook your print in some sort of ink. I guess the resin wouldn't last the cooking process.

I had considered the old Rit dye trick, but had the same concerns with warping, as it's a large piece and needs to remain square. After looking around for a while I've decided to try a "Transparent black" tail-light spray paint called VHT Night-Shades. Have been watching a few car junkies apply it to their plastics on youtube and it seems to do the trick.
