Needing help, newbie

I am looking for some help. I recently purchased a FF Creator Pro. On the SD card there are some prints I can make, and they make without a problem. The problem I am having, I downloaded "Baby Groot" from Guardians Of The Galaxy to try and print. This is where the problems start. I load it to Flashprint, it shows to be sitting in the middle of the box, I get no errors when I click print. It saves the file to the SD, load the SD card, start print, and it is trying to print off the print bed. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Can someone please help me. This is my first 3D printer, so I am still new at this.

Do you have a link to the file you downloaded?

I'll try to take a look a little later to see if there is anything obvious.

Which file are you trying?  There are several.

I am trying the head and body. Head first.

File name?  There are several files!  I loaded them into Flashprint and most came in off the build plate.  Some had errors also.

Ok, I'll look at that one specifically later.

Do any of them warn you that the model is off the platform when you load it?

They do when you first load, but then clicking on set on platform, brings it back in and no errors afterward.

Ok.  When you set it on the platform can you use the move feature and try to lower it half a mm or so?  It may just have a tiny part actually touching.  What it would do is lower the part so the first few layers are actually below the plane of the bed.

I'll have to look at it later.  Never tried to "lower" a part in Flashprint.  It is a handy feature sometimes.

I'll give that a try this afternoon.

I loaded the model you said and he comes in with the back of his head on the platform.  Is this what you see?

Yes that's what I see to. But I can stand him upright and still a no go.

Ok, how did you stand him up?  I'll get back to him later and check it out.

Using the axis movement within FP, you have to keep playing with it to get him to sit upright. I think its "rotate"

To place him on the bed from his "laying" down position all you need to do is go to "rotate" and check the box that says something like "on surface" then you click or double click on the surface you want to go to the bed.

Exact, which I did that, and it shows him on the bed. Save to SD, load into printer, select that print, and then it tries printing off the bed.

Odd, I'll take a look later.  Maybe there is some hidden little bump on the bottom that is causing it to be a tad off the bed.

I understand that grootis in the box on screen but is  he on the bed?

Yes it does show that he is on the bed as well, no errors. But the print is off the bed.
