Qiditech Dual Extruder, filament spooler

I have a Qiditech Dual Extruder, the filament loaders that came with the printer were ok for the initial filaments I purchased, the spooler length is 69mm in length.

I recently purchased more filaments and all of these are 1kg and require a longer spooler  length as the width of each of these filament reals is closer to 79mm in length.

I tried printing a spooler from ThingiVerse, but the thread was wouldn't screw into the printer.  Is there a spooler loader that is compatible with the Qiditech printer and will work for the measurement's in this post?

There are several that will work fine with no new parts needed.  Just search for QIDI.

I had this problem and solved it by buying a screw that was just a bit longer than the one provided by Qidi. The screw is not soldered or anything to the spool holder and can easily be replaced. I happen to live in France and the thread is metric if that makes any difference...

Thank you, I had the same thought this morning, do you know any details on the screw / thread that would help me purchase a longer replacement?

I'm traveling and away from my machine, but as I remember (sic) it was an M10 thread.

You can try making one by going to

there are lots of things like that around...

Here are two that should work fine.

The first is just a redo of the stock spool holder but longer.

The second one has become one of my favorite ones.

How long is the part?  Not a problem I can import and extrude if required.

I don't recall but can check later.

Both have worked fine for me on all of my spools.

I made the white one to hold some wider spools I got.

Problem now solved, I bought a bag of bolts from ScrewFix, these were 130mm, bit longer than required, but fit and will do nicely.

Also printed a long cover for the bolt so the filament is not sitting directly on the bolt.
