I’ve been printing successfully using my Flashforge Dreamer for a year now, using only ABS plastic to produce functional parts used in rapid prototyping. The printer and I get along well enough to reliably produce parts and I keep both spare parts and plenty of ABS on hand. My background is in Mechanical design drafting, and I use AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD to produce most of what I need to print as from there I can produce truly functional parts and assemblies.
