I’ve been up to my neck in 3D printing since freshman year of college. I was involved in a research group at the National Science and Engineering Research Laboratory at UT Dallas looking to print shape memory polymers for surgical implants. There were so many big companies interested (Halliburton, NIKE) we transitioned our work to a private start-up company for more commercial applications of flexible printing. Now I work as an experimental helicopter design engineer and use incredible commercial printers at work. I print flight worthy fairings and covers using an SLS machine and smaller prototypes using a FDM machine. I have had 3 different personal printers at my home over the past few years to experiment with and now I’ve joined 3D Hubs to print for fun and get involved with other’s projects in my area! I have thousands of hours experience using the following printers: Printrbot Simple, RepRap Prusa i3, Flashforge Creator Pro, B9 Creator (projector SLA), Peachy Printer (laser SLA), uPrint, proprietary printers I have helped develop
