2 weeks 4 days ago - Commented on Hub Ranking system?

Ranking is hidden by design, the ballpark selection process is as follows ordered by priority from highest to lowest: Fulfilled by 3D Hubs service hubs that have joined the program with unknown ranking metrics to determine which is auto selected for you; should you click "Manually select a hub", you get any of the partners (which includes those in and those out of the Fulfilled program) somewhat based on proximity and a bunch of metrics like response time, ratings, price, delivery options, and completions date, but the weighting system is unknown.

Not sure how helpful that was, but that is how the system works. :-) 3D Hubs wants you to go with their selection for a Fulfilled by 3D Hubs partner, your needs are not fully in the equation.

The site limits your view to the last 3 reviews by design. I have 5 stars in all categories from 98 reviews, but you cannot see anything except the last 3 reviews (which in my case are all from one business customer since I only get repeat customers now, mainly because I did not join the Fulfilled by 3D Hubs program and they changed; I also had to jack up my default pricing so high that I don't get orders because my service is super cheap, but does not remove support materials to keep costs extremely low, there is no option for that since support removal is mandatory, so now I manually drop all of my prices for my old repeat customers and leave that support material on) Finding someone that might meet your needs may be more difficult than it would appear since some need to work around the forced policies that have been imposed upon us.. :-)

https://maps.3dhubs.com/

Unfortunately it lists LOTS of hubs that have been closed for ages. New hubs appear to be on there, but no filtering for hubs that are no longer active (sometimes for years).

It is hard to determine the scale of the wings without a ruler in the first two pictures, Also, a link to files might help people estimate the volume. As a note, creating the wings might be better (and cheaper) using EVA foam and Pepakura for the bulk of it. Detail parts can be 3D printed and attached.

3D Hubs has done a lot to work on automation for customer satisfaction. Why not work on some Hub satisfaction issues? Entering approximate print time for an accepted order can automatically adjust order completion time once paid for subsequent orders. Why do the hubs have to jump through hoops, especially for metrics that 3D Hubs uses for your ranking? Those should be the first to get some 'automation assistance' since they make the customer experience better by setting customer expectations.

When an order is accepted, you can enter "anything the customer should know", add a field for estimated print time in hours on the Accept form.

I had 100%, now I am at 99.60% due to a "Fulfilled by 3D Hubs" order getting in my queue (I am not even enrolled in that service!), which the client decided to cancel. That order should never have been in my queue, but I was at 100% prior. I haven't had many that were difficult to print.

3 more orders processed with "Supports Remain", at least I have a partial work-around. I need to figure out something better long-term though since >95% of my orders have supports still on when shipped (by client request). Now to also update my hub page to match the color updates and how it has impacted my order processing..

What are the next areas you are looking to standardize?

While I would agree with your statement under normal circumstances, I am not in Express Checkout and people have to manually look for me. I had 100% acceptance rate until I 'somehow' got a  Fulfilled by 3D Hubs order while not in that program, that self declined and I dropped to 99.6% (twice actually, but I processed the other order). I also have 5 stars in every category based on 87 reviews. It seems that whatever I have been doing doesn't appear to be an issue for the clients as they are getting inexpensive prints.

Since you are standardizing everything, why isn't everyone required to be in Fulfilled by 3D Hubs to remain on here (but leave manual selection as an option in the event a client wishes to pick)?

What would work (for me at least) is allow me to set my supports remain pricing as my de facto pricing, have my hub hidden from your standard checkout process, and make me visible only from the order widget. You still get your cut of the money, and all of my customers that want supports on can get their models that way.

You misunderstand. When you select the color, you are selecting Grey (Supports Remain) OR Grey (Supports Removed) up front and the two selections have different price points automatically, up front. I never add costs after. You pick your price point from the start.
You are selecting your standards without consulting hubs. Why not go right to the endgame and make pricing a platform standard?
