If someone wouldn't mind that users slic3r take some screen shots of your settings for abs 1.75 .4 mm nosel I would appreciate it. Just need a base settings and I will be able to go from there. Here is what I am trying to do. I have a component I had to slice because it was too large. So I sliced it then I thought I would add some clips or tabs to it in order to snap it together. I built the naps out just fine. I then saved it from sketchup with the snaps, and I imported it to netfabb to test for errors. THere was no errors so I put in in slic3r to get the gcode for it.

Hello, I am wondering if anyone can take a look at my sketchup project. I am having issues with it. When I export it to an STL and import it to Netfabb it says it needs to be fixed. After its done I have something I cant use. I have a dome like object but its not round. After it fixes it it adds a bottom to it.

Thanks for the response guys. I found a tool called cnc simulator. So I am creating it in Sketchup then export it to an STL and open it in Netfabb for the error check, then save that file and then open in in Slic3r and get the G-Code, then I take the gcode and copy the code and paste it in the CNC Simulator. Still having some issues. This is my first project. I have used sketchup before. Way back when it was a google product. Not much has changed. Having some issues though. When I open in it NetFabb and it fixes it (not sure exactly what that means or what its doing.) It appears to be making it a solid object meaning I created a shape and its like a dome but not circular. It appears to be adding a back to it. so instead of having a 1/8 inch thick shape I have a 3 inch thick solid object. Would anyone be willing to take my sketch up project and givie me some pointers?

I am thinking about buying a 3D printer and am in the research phase. All of the affordable 3D printers I am finding under $200 all seem to be real small. Even the more expensive ones for that matter. I am wondering if you have a 6x6x6 printer how would you print something that is large?
