Thanks for that @Miaviator, that's exactly right. Simply use the Help Center on the right hand side of the order page @HighlyAdaptive and send us a message and either me or one of my colleagues will get back to you within a couple of hours.

We're working to reduce our response time even further.

Wow!! I think we have a new record! Very impressive @Ronny

Would you mind sharing a bit more about the printer/material you used? The layer height is probably something like 25 micron?

Hey Thomas!

I had a look at the order for you and it looks like the original file was modelled in milimetres (which is the default measurement unit used by 3D Hubs to interpret model files). In this case, your customer probably indicated that the model was created using inches instead, scaling all the dimensions of the files by factor 25.4. There does seem to be a bug that says (modeled using cm) instead of (modeled using inches), I've reported this to our developers and I expect they'll look into this tomorrow.

That said, if something like this happens again, I highly recommend contacting us through support@3dhubs.com

Sorry for the inconvenience and have a nice evening!

Hi @Starwind0, it can be a little confusing seeing as Meshmixer has "Edit" in two different spots within the program. First, use the 'Select' button on the left hand side. Then, double click your model (which will turn your model into a dark shade of orange) and a new menu should pop up on the left hand side that at the very top says 'Edit...'. Third from the top after clicking 'Edit...' says 'Reduce'.

I hope this was useful.

Hey Sam, I quickly checked and indeed, Rob's Hub is offline at the moment.

Thank you for offering your assistance as well, we appreciate it!

Hi @AcrimoniousM!

Thanks for your question, it's possible that the Hub you previously printed with is (momentarily) offline which would cause the Hub not to show up in the search results. Setting a Hub as a 'Favorite' is definitely something that we're looking at but as you can possibly imagine, we have a long feature-request list containing awesome stuff that we want to see added to the website.

At the moment we still have a fairly small development team and we really have to prioritise the list and this is one of the features that is not yet planned for the roadmap.

Do you perhaps still know the name of the Hub you're looking for? (Perhaps from older e-mails) I would be more than happy to help you locate him/her.

Best,
Robin - 3D Hubs

Hey @Sara_Scott

Could you perhaps tell us a little bit more about your printer? Which model are you printing with? That way we can connect you with some fellow users who are using the same machine.

Best,

Hey @seytayfun!

Thank you for posting this on Talk, it's a topic that we've had questions about in the past and I'd like to explain how 3D Hubs handles these kinds of orders:

Every Hub on our platform has agreed to our Terms of Use and I would like to point you to section 6.4 which state:

"6.4. By submitting 3D Content through the Services or Website, the User grants 3D Hubs and the Hub accepting the Order a non-exclusive, royalty free worldwide non-transferable license (i) to review the 3D Content on the basis of technical specifications (including but not limited to checking for any technical errors); and (ii) to use the 3D Content for the manufacturing of the 3D Print in order for the Hub to fulfil the Order placed by the User."

This section covers the fact that you, the customer, only give the 3D Hubs admins and the Hub accepting the order the rights to check your 3D file to see if it's suitable for 3D printing and the right to 3D print the model to complete the order for you. There is no specific confidential agreement in place about the contents of the model but I can assure you that the 3D Hubs admins treat your model with the utmost respect and will never use it for any other purpose.

I would also like to point out that we have never had any complaints about a Hub abusing the uploaded contents provided by a customer since 3D Hubs was founded.

If you would like an extra level of confidentiality/security you could consider asking a Hub to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement before sending in the 3D model. You can start and inquiry with a Hub by going to his/her profile and clicking "Contact this Hub".

I hope this answered your questions, if you have any more questions or if you have some suggestions for us, please let me know.

Best,
Robin - 3D Hubs
