I am in the market for a new 3d printer and am considering one of the high end Airwolf printers. I’m wondering if there is someone in the Buffalo NY area that has one or has experience with the Airwolf printer line that is willing to share their experience and maybe even let me view their printer and its output in person. My email is torynawka@e1b.org. Thanks Stan

Stan,

It really depends on a few things.

1) What level of quality do you want or need?

2) How much post processing do you want or have time to do?

I use 3D Systems brand printers, they work fine with a little maintenance. They allow me to take parts from the print and simply melt the support wax off and a quick clean with soapy water and I am done. The tolerances I can hold on even the older printers is still very good.

The filament printers are appealing but in my experience the time post processing and tolerance of the parts do not make it worth the savings in material.

Good luck with your adventure!
