I have a flashforge creator pro, and I’m printing with Ninjaflex. I installed the custom extruder piece and have had success in the past printing things out with this filament, but most of the time, it does around half of the first layer then starts tapering off.

Here are my settings:

Bed temp: 60c

extruder temp: I’ve tried everything from 215c to 255c all with the same result

extraction speed: 1100 mm per minute (18mm per second)

First is that retraction speed is extreme for about anything. 30mm/sec max I would say. Been a while since I did NF and don’t remember the retraction but you have to take it easy.

Slow speeds overall also.

Bed is ok. 210 are is pretty good on temp.

I just updated my post. Simplify3D does the speed setting per MINUTE not second. So I was actually printing at 18mm/sec. Any suggestions knowing that was my speed?

That may actually be kind of slow. Also look at your retraction rates.

Does it jam up when it tappers off? What is it actually doing when it stops extruding?

I got some guidance from Ninjaflex support, and changed it to 600mm/minute and I was able to complete a medium sized print with no problems.

Thanks for your help.

Good. Really slow!! There support in the past was good.
