So I bought a Powerspec powered by Wanhao duplicator i3 Mini from MicroCenter for my High school graduation and I’m very happy with my purchase and like the prints I’m getting from it. After all I got it from MicroCenter for $180 USD.

No the question I have is that in the manual for this printer it says the build volume is 120mm x 135mm x 100mm. After doing some research I found out that the PowerSpec version is the exact same thing as the normal Wanhao duplicator i3 Mini.

The Wanhao has a build volume of 150mm x 150mm x 115mm. So I went into Cura and changed my build volume to 150 x 150 x 115 and printed a test print. It was just a flat rectangle that was 148mm x 148mm with a 3mm wide column in the center that was 110mm tall.

The print was successful, however the piece was only 120 x 135 x 100

So is there something different about the PowerSpec branded duplicator i3 or is there something else is play.

All I want out of this is just to find out what the true build volume of this printer is.

Thanks, Maddie
