Good morning,

I was wondering what is your tightest tolerance that you can get on your printer? and is the real part going to be larger or smaller than the model? For example if I have a curve with 4.03" diameter what will be the actual diameter after printing.

Thank you,

Nastaran

Hey Nastaran,

There are so many printers out there which makes it hard to find the smallest tolerance. I can however tell you that the print expands slightly due to the way the layers are formed meaning it is slightly bigger than the CAD version.

Thank you for the info. That was very helpful.

Hi

For the same reason KD-GIFT3D pointed out, if you print holes in your objects, the holes will be slightly smaller than what you are expecting.
