I have a print rite diy printer I have been using on and off for about 2 years. It used to print very nicely, however now it’s starting to print very poorly especially on 1 side. At first I thought it was the bed that was unbalanced so I spent several hours trying to perfectly calibrate it and it still wasn’t printing to my satisfaction. Then decided to upgrade the bed with PEI to get a better adhesion because I thought maybe the bed was not getting heated evenly and now the parts stick better than ever, but still left with the same problem. Then I noticed that the top filler hole for the filament started getting grinded away by the filament, so I thought maybe the filament was getting caught up in that grinded notch. So I added a pulley to help assist the filament into the extruder. Still have the same problem printing and it’s the same side every time. I tried printing this piece 5 different times with no solution and a problem that seems to not want to go away. So I decided to post some pictures to see what you guys think. The print is abs and I’ve tried many different slicing settings to see if I can get better results. I have changed the temps, speed infill and not much changes Print is abs and usually 20% infill .03 layer height 235 degrees C for nozzle 100 degrees C for bed The print is in an enclosed box with a vent out the window Also I’ll admit that I usually have that filament just sitting in the box when it’s not in use. But I don’t think it’s because of that because one side always prints very nicely. Any help is much appreciated.
