3D technology it’s a fast evolving phenomenon. We bet that 3D and his relative printing process we’ll be the future!

3D printers are spreading fast and their costs are getting lower every day while quality improves: a lot of people already have one at their home or office or they can find a service near them, it’s almost reachable by everyone!

Today I want to present you an additional step in this evolution process: a complete game designed for your 3D printer.

The idea came from a group of young people from Florence (Italy), games and art enthusiasts: by blending together their passions and their capacities they begun prototyping miniature sculptures, fantasy illustrations and games.

We are now presenting you their first step in this world: Rough-and-Tumble, a chess board game, where orcs and dwarves face each other in an inn’s brawl.

Rough-and-Tumble is a board game with an innovative and unique game mechanic: it’s a chess game with hexagonal boxes and a small innovation that will make the game unique and intriguing, ideal for one on one challenges to find out who’s the best strategist.

You will be able to choose between two different teams: orcs or dwarves, each faction will offer you different powers and mechanics and you will decide everytime which part to use.

Why all of this should bother the 3D world? Here is the small news, Crosslance Studio offers the possibility to print the game at home. The game is completely digital delivered, from the map to the rules and miniatures, 3D sculptured and very rich of particulars.
