Autodesk just released another 3D Design app called Tinkerplay in their 123D Suite, this one specifically for 3D Printing. Its an iPhone/Ipad app where you can build creatures and other things from a modular list of parts and get them printed. The parts then connect together. Pretty cool - reminds me a lot of customizable bionics back in the day.

The picture above looks very similar to Modio on the iPad. I really like Modio.

Ha! I just read that Modio has been acquired by Autocad and renamed to Tinkerplay!

Try it out, it’s a great program, and the outcomes are immediately printable.

Nice!

Indeed it’s Modio under a new name, it’s really cool app indeed!

How to become a Tinkerplayer and print tinkerplays for customers?

Hey Dominique, at the moment we’re in a testing phase with just a few Hubs, but we’ll let you know once we’re ready to scale this. Stay tuned!

Have you played with the app already?

Yes, I already played with the app and did some successful prints (my son is very happy! ;))

I am really interested to be a part of this program…

Thanks

Wow, I’d really love to see some of your Tinkerplay prints! Would you be willing to share them on Talk? That would be ace: Talk Manufacturing | Hubs

What a lucky son indeed

I’ll do some tests and photo by the end of the week and try to find 5min to post!
