Hi everybody,

I think I could really use your experts help

i’m printing on a Wanhao Duplicator i3 and slicing with Cura.

Until now I was using PLA and was getting mostly clean results. I decided to switch to PETG for more resistance, but i’m completely struggling to get good results.

I tried to print this test : https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:704409

But here is the result I get in attachment.

The first half of the part looks good (the rectangular part) but as soon as the printer goes on to the fancy shapes, it get crazy bad. Could someone give me some ideas to tweak the parameters ?

I’m working with Orange Sunlu PETG.

Here are my parameters on Cura :

Quality :

Layer height : 0.12

Line Width : 0.4

Infill :

35%

Triangles

15% overlap

Material :

Printing temp : 245°C

Build Plate temp : 70°C

Diam. : 1.75

Retraction distance : 3mm

Retraction Speed : 25mm/s

Retraction min. travel : 1.5mm

Speed :

Print speed : 50mm/s

Infill Speed : 50mm/s

outer wall speed : 25mm/s

inner wall speed : 10mm/s

support speed : 50mm/s

travel speed : 60mm/s

Cooling :

Fan speed : 100%

Initial fan speed : 20%

I think these are the most important parameters. Thanks in advance for your help
