Hi,

I am from the Netherlands (Eindhoven region).
I just got a message from one of my favorite 3D-printing providers, that from octobre 1st 2018 on, 3Dhubs will stop cooperation with local home printing providers, continuing only with commercial printing shops.
If true, that would be a blow and very disappointing.
Can 3Dhubs comment on this? Is it true? Why?

You’re very unlikely to get a direct response from 3DHubs as the topic has been extensively discussed here:

3D Hubs is expelling hubs that cannot meet their minimum requirements. For instance, if a Hub has not signed up for Instant Order, where the customer can upload and pay for the print in one transaction and without Hub review, the Hub is no longer allowed to use 3D Hubs. Another requirement is a minimum customer approval rating and a minimum on the number of orders that get cancelled for any reason, even if that reason is to comply with 3D Hubs rules such as no weapons.
3D Hubs is also implementing a minimum order amount, though any customer who is willing to make the minimum order is welcome to place an order. It is only the Hubs that are being booted.

Hi guys,

I’ve closed this topic and it will be unlisted in a week. All discussion about the switch to Fulfilled by 3D Hubs can be discussed here: Switch to Fulfilled by 3D Hubs announcement - No category - Talk Manufacturing | Hubs

Further information about the switch as well as why we’re making this change and the impact it will have, can be found in the announcement post here.
